For some reason, life seems to want to cruise on by whether I want it to or not... :) The crazy thing, is that summer hasn't even started yet! We tend to have something going on just about every weekend in the summer. So our summers are typically tons of fun, sometimes exhausting, & fly by!
I'm curious to hear about how the fruit for dessert challenge went! I found myself still snacking on fruit pretty often, so I'm going to keep focusing on this one until it's a more solidified habit. I especially like it and have seen the benefits of saving my fruit "treat" to have at the end of dinner.
I said it before and I'm going to say it again... if you haven't tried out the coconut milk whipped cream with fresh berries yet... you've GOT to! I seriously think I could eat it every day. :)
So I guess I'm going to take the easy card on this one and issue the challenge this week to pick your own challenge based on what you think will be the most helpful to you. It's easy for me to list off something to work on that could be beneficial but I'm certainly not in your shoes right now & don't know exactly what you're going through.
I've decided to take on the personal challenge of making sure I "lift heavy things" two different days along with sprints one day this week! Both of these options are great in speeding up fat loss. If you're only walking (which is a great place to start & good to mix in with other movement) and/or doing "chronic cardio" (e.g. an hour on a cardio machine, multiple days a week) then you're likely not working the deeper muscle fibers and tissues, which is not an efficient way to burn fat.
If you are interested in learning how to sprint, here's a great post from Mark's Daily Apple. He also has an excellent post on why you'd want to sprint. Trust me, the benefits are there, whether male or female!
So that's it. What challenge are you going to work on this week?
