Weekly Challenge: Affirmations

How did your challenge of your own choice go this week? I enjoyed lifting heavy things & doings sprints! I kind of forgot how good sprints can make me feel. I did them much more consistently before my son was born & realized this week how much I've missed it.

I certainly didn't jump in & go as fast as I have in the past (it's been a while since I've done them) but regardless, it felt good! Sprints take hardly any time, only need to be done once every 7-10 days, can be done outside, or indoors on just about any cardio machine, & produces great fat-loss results!

I'd love to hear about the adventures from the challenge you picked this week! Ready to dig into another?

I'd like to work on strengthening our minds by creating more positive, empowering thoughts to flow through them. You might be wondering how we might go about that?

Affirmations!

The challenge is to write an affirmation that you will read (or recite) out loud to yourself each morning this week. It can be as long or short as you want it to be. Really think about what thoughts & beliefs you'd like to better incorporate into your thinking about yourself (your abilities, circumstances, career, family, etc.).

If you're not sure where to start with yours, here are some ideas:

"I am someone who...
Is kind
Patient
Lives well
Helps & inspires others"
(etc... Keep adding to the list with as many of these types of statements that feel fitting for you!)

You affirmation can literally be this short:

"I can DO and BE anything I want!"

Here's one of my longer ones...

"I am a beautiful, loved, daughter of God with limitless potential and an amazing family. I make sure I these family relationships by making "love deposits" to them daily. Together we can accomplish any good & worthwhile thing, feel peace, love, & happiness. I love nourishing my body, mind, & spirit. I have high standards for what I put into my body. Food is fuel, food is medicine, & food is healthy. Quality bodies require quality food. "I am healing. Change is possible. I am getting better. My body is capable of fixing itself."

Our minds are so powerful and our thoughts often do come to fruition, so why not fill them full of ideas & beliefs that will help us feel the most happy & fulfilled?

Do you currently use affirmations to improve your mental health? If so, what types of statements do you include? If you don't mind sharing, what are you going to include this week?
