Baked Kale Chips

My husband requested something salty and crunchy that he could snack on this week so here it is! Baked Kale Chips are super quick and easy to make and what a great way to get in more greens!

We are pretty basic with our kale chips and only season them with salt. Experiment with your favorite seasonings and see what you like best!

I also decided to make some sweet potato chips (still going for salty and crunchy) since I rarely find any that don't have unwanted ingredients. They are really yummy too, so stayed tuned for the instructions on making them tomorrow!

Baked Kale Chips

Ingredients
1 bunch of curly kale
1/2 tablespoon melted coconut oil
Sea Salt to Taste

Other Seasoning Ideas:
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Onion Powder
Garlic Powder

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375
2. Rinse the kale leaves with cold water and pat them dry with a towel
3. Cut the stem out of the leaves & roughly chop the kale into large pieces
4. Put the kale pieces in a large mixing bowl and top them with the melted coconut oil. Massage the oil in gently until all the leaves are well covered.
5. Place the kale pieces in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with tin foil
6. Sprinkle with salt (and other desired seasonings)
7. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until kale becomes crispy

Have you had a Whole30 day yet this week? I'm on Day 5 and feeling good. I love the feeling of my body changing in a positive way. And the great news is that I'm 1/6th of the way there!
