Weekly Challenge: Service

How did the water week go? With the busyness around here, it was definitely a challenge some days for me to get in enough water but it feels good. I like that it helps me manage true hunger versus the munchies. My skin is also more moist when I'm getting an adequate amount of water. Hopefully you enjoyed the challenge as well!

This upcoming week I want to veer away from the food focus and issue the challenge of doing either a planned or random act of kindness each day. I posted earlier about wondering if gratitude was the key to happiness but I want to add onto the attitude of gratitude with a lifestyle of giving. It is difficult to think about ourselves and our own worries when we get caught up looking out for others and what we can do for them. Service seems to work hand in hand with gratitude.

It doesn't have to be a big deal or cost anything. The service can be a smile or helping someone with their groceries. Or if you're in a snowy area right now, shoveling a neighbor's sidewalk. Maybe someone just needs a hug or a friend to talk to. The possibilities are endless! It's really cool to see the opportunities open up when we're looking for them. I hope you find some fun and explore a little bit of your creativity with this challenge!

It's fun to imagine a world where we are all looking for something we can do for someone else each day and in return, having that person pay it forward. I honestly believe that if we are grateful and serve others, it will add to our happiness and help us in our journey of becoming the best version of ourselves!

What acts of kindness have you found to be the most rewarding?
