I'm reading "Failing Forward" right now and have really enjoyed the perception & level-headed thoughts he has about failure.
Here are some thoughts I had a few weeks ago, as part of changing my definition of failure:
So what if I'm not alway "progressing" at the rate I'd like to. The truth is that I have a healthy, handsome son & husband who I am helping to nourish.
I am also developing habits that will nourish my family for LIFE! Look beyond right now, initial disappointments & keep making worthwhile decisions. There is no value in sabotaging life-long goals when feeling poorly in the moment. It will pass. A new day starts tomorrow & another after that...
I am a success because I keep trying. My focus should be on doing & eating things that make me feel good & allow me to do the things I desire & enjoy. Keep going with positive thoughts and habits & results will come!
